Before entering the ritual space, pause at the edge of the area where you intend to work. Hold your offering in both hands and take a moment to acknowledge the spirits of the land. Feel their presence in the space around you and allow them to draw closer.

Place your offering in a respectful location near, but not within, the ritual area. Offerings may include milk, bread, honey, spirits, or other gifts suitable to the land and its inhabitants, safe for wildlife and unlikely to cause damage to the plant life. As you set down the offering, speak the following words:

Spirits of this place, I greet you.
I come in peace, with honor and respect.
I pray that this gift be pleasing to you
and ask your blessing to walk and work in this space.
Let there be goodwill between us.

Pause for a moment to sense any response. If the space feels welcoming, proceed into the ritual area with gratitude. If there is any sense of unease, consider moving to another location or offering additional gifts.
