Crossroads Rite to Create Liminal Space

To create liminal space[1] and call upon the collective spirit of the crossed roads, stand at the center of your ritual space. Hold your arms outstretched or trace a crossroads in the air or on the ground. Place yourself at the meeting of this cross.

Upon the path where four ways meet,
Where fate is turned and spirits speak,
I call the road, I call the way,
A foot in night, a foot in day.

Open the gate, between and beyond,
Twist the threads, unmake the bond.
By road and path, by stone and tree,
Crossed Roads, come and work with me.

Remain still for a moment, allowing the shift in energy to settle. When you feel the threshold open, proceed with your rite.

[1] Within my practice, all magic is performed within a liminal space. However, this may not be necessary for all practitioners—some may find that their workings do not require a crossroads or threshold to be effective. Adapt as needed to suit your own practice.
